Journal the Word Bible--One for Me & One for You!

How sweet the season is—a time of thanks and giving! Christian publisher, Thomas Nelson sent me, not one, but two, NKJV Journal the Word Bibles. One to keep, and one to give away. First, let me tell you how awesome this Bible is!
Every cream-colored page contains wide margins of lightly ruled lines. You can either journal your thoughts or illustrate the meditations of your heart.

I’m doing a little of both in mine, but mostly journaling. No more writing on the back of church bulletins or loose papers! Everything will be in one spot, ready for future reference by me, or the next generation.
And this Bible will be around for several generations. A sturdy, hardcover and an outer, elastic band keeps everything secure. Also, it lies flat, which makes it easy for reading, writing and drawing.
The large-print Bible weighs a little over three pounds so it may not be the choice for toting around town. But the size is perfect for use at home. Reading is so much easier with the large print. The wide pages offer plenty of room for writing. No more trying to scrunch words into minuscule margins. If you write in your Bible, you know what I’m talking about.
Large print and wide margins
I love everything about this Bible. Well, the creative side of me would like a choice of colors for the cover. But the black cover is classy. Black will probably not show the smudges of time as easily as other colors might.
The Journal the Word Bible retails for fifty dollars and comes in KJV and NKJV. It will make a wonderful gift and an amazing heirloom.
I have my copy of this wonderful Bible. Who wants the other one? It is a large-print, NKJV like mine.

All you have to do to get your name in the drawing is leave a comment below. Tell me, in 50 words or less, how the Bible affects your life. I’ll announce the winner on Nov. 26.

I think I better stick to journaling!
So, please share with us. How does God’s Word affect you?

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher in return for an honest review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255

  1. The Bible is my security. Once I outgrew my security blankets, which took me all the way into college, the Bible at times literally became that blanket. Sometimes sleeping with it under my pillow was all it took to find that peace Jesus promised once again. The truth of the Word is always there for comfort and peace and nothing is as precious as that!

  3. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word (God) is where I place my hope. It is the foundation for my life, driving my decisions each day.

  5. Thank you for the wonderful review. The Word-- ALL. My answers, my encouragement, my joy, my hope,my defense. ..the only word, a letter from my Father and Savior. I have been shopping for a bible like this, but did not want to online. This one is the one I have been looking for. If I win or not this will be on my Christmas list.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. This scripture scripture comes to life for me every night as I read and study my Bible. As I grow and mature in my faith, I learn daily to hide HIS word in my heart.ღ

  8. Ive seen these, but could never afford it. What a cool idea to be able to take notes, write down your thoughts and for those in my family who are so creative, to doodle! What a treasure to have in a few years when it can be passed on down through the generations !! Such a great idea !! Blessings to whom ever receives such a gift

    1. Hi, Crystal. No matter what Bible you have, I encourage everyone to write in their Bibles, or at least a journal. Write down the passage you read and your reflections and prayers. It is a special way to "tell the next generation" about the amazing love and power of God.
